The Molecular Devices QPix 460 microbial colony picker automates microbial screening and colony picking with high accuracy. Supports multiple selection modalities including fluorescence intensity, blue/white selection, and size. Features include organism-specific pins, agar level-sensing, and UV light for sterility. Suitable for high-throughput screening and sample preparation.
The instrument supports fluorescence imaging using four LED channels: UV (377/50 nm ? 447/60 nm) for DAPI/Hoechst, blue (457/50 nm ? 536/40 nm) for FITC/GFP, green (520/35 nm ? 624/40 nm) for DS Red/CY3/Rhodamine, and red (628/40 nm ? 692/40 nm) for CY5, each with specific excitation/emission filters.
